Butcher Babies

For over a decade, Butcher Babies have been crushing stages worldwide with their vicious live performance and explosive energy. Their stage presence is a hypnotic spectacle that leaves audiences hungry for more. Frontwomen Heidi Shepherd and Carla Harvey, guitarist Henry Flury, drummer Chase Brickenden and bassist Ricky Bonazza juxtapose brutal, aggressive riffs with beautiful melodies that wail with emotional redemption.

Hailing from the City of Angels, Butcher Babies aided in the jubilant revival of the metal scene on LA’s iconic Sunset Strip, landing the band a record deal with Century Media Records. The group’s first two studio albums reached the Top 5 on multiple Billboard charts. Butcher Babies hit a new record high with their latest LP, ‘LILITH' as it debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes Metal Charts and No. 7 on the iTunes Rock Charts with a duo of tracks hitting the U.S. Radio airwaves.

With three albums and two EPs under their belt, Butcher Babies have reached a new level of maturity solidifying a triumphant return after a brief creative hiatus to write and rebuild. The band is set to release a barrage of singles in 2020, reflecting their growth as a band. The group is ready to take on new heights while they continue to knock down barriers.

Butcher Babies have toured relentlessly among the likes of Megadeth, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Five Finger Death Punch, Danzig, In This Moment, Hollywood Undead, Cradle of Filth, Black Label Society, etc; played music festivals including Mayhem, Download (UK), Hellfest (France), Knotfest (US & Japan), Hell and Heaven (Mexico), Rock on The Range, Carolina Rebellion, Louder Than Life, Aftershock, Welcome to Rockville, etc. They have recently appeared in the film ‘Alleluia! : The Devils Carnival’ and the Netflix horror hit ‘Slasher’.

Uncured is a hard rock and metal 4-piece from NJ that is attracting international attention for its combination of top musicianship, catchy riffs, and melodic interludes.
Uncured was founded in 2016 by brothers Rex Cox and Zak Cox, who both play guitar, bass, and sing.  Liam Manley plays drums and joined Uncured in 2017.   Micah Smith plays bass with the band while Uncured is on tour.
Uncured started touring in 2017 and has performed over 200 shows in 14 countries with top acts such as All That Remains, Cradle of Filth, Soulfly, Children of Bodom, Devildriver, White Chapel, Dying Fetus, Katatonia, and Jamey Jasta (Hatebreed).

In early 2020 Uncured completed a tour of South America as direct support to Lacuna Coil.  Uncured is scheduled to tour the US, Europe, Asia and Russia in 2021, and is confirmed to play with Judas Priest on September 11, 2021 in Orlando, FL,
Uncured released its first full-length record Medusa on March 10, 2017.   The record was named one of the "10 Best Metal Albums of 2017" by  MetalSucks wrote that Medusa is "a synthesis of all manner of melodic, progressive, technical metal — Dream Theater, Opeth, et al. — mixed with a groovy, almost tribal approach trafficked by ’90s stalwarts like Sepultura and Fear Factory.  Have those two genres ever been mixed together before?  Probably, somewhere.  Have they ever been mixed together before with such finesse and originality?  Certainly not."
Uncured released its second full-length album Epidemic on April 19, 2019.  Epidemic was also met with massive critical success.  MetalSucks described the album’s first single “Choke” as “an assemblage of chunky caveman breakdowns that dance around the band’s signature groovy riffs and hook-fueled solos, offering excitement and a never-ending propulsion of madness.”  Uncured created a play-through of its single “Conquistador” exclusively for Guitar World, who referred to the song as a “technically dazzling track.”  Finally, MetalSucks called the single “Death Valley” an “absolute slayer of a tune, an unfuckwithable amalgamation of prog, power, groove, and death metal.”
Uncured is expected to release its new EP Uncovered in early 2020, including covers of songs by PanteraSepulturaThe Beastie Boys, and America.  Uncured's cover of Slayer's 2001 classic "Disciple" was named 2019's Cover of the Year by Sirius XM Liquid Metal.

Uncured has gained a reputation among fans and critics for its aggressive, technical, yet highly diverse, live performances.  Metal Injection reported that "Uncured sounds a bit like old school Dream Theater with some modern tricks thrown in, such as full-on breakdowns and smoking guitar acrobatics.  This band is comprised of extremely talented and promising young musicians.”

Metal Assault Magazine reported that "the talent in musical composition and song arrangement was vastly evident right from the outset, and it never ceased to engage and compel.  Uncured’s roots are firmly planted in prog, but also in Scandinavian death metal, and the manner in which they moved from crushing heavy grooves to break into smooth, sexy interludes was beyond exemplary.”  Shutter 16 Magazine simply stated: "just wow, the raw talent of such a young fronted band is outstanding.  Formed, written, and lead by two teenagers, is truly insane."  The magazine continued that Uncured has "the sound of old school metal with an influx of modern solos and rhythms, while vocally pulling from a death metal side of things.  The solos were the contrast to their music, very progressive sounding and very technical, whereas their song structure was brutal and heavy."
Critics have commented on the diversity of Uncured's sound. CrypticRock reports that Uncured "matches speedy, technical guitar riffs with blistering drumming--but the true highlight of Uncured's live set is the ability to slow it down at the drop of a dime, mixing in darker, compelling storylines amidst all the chaos."  Metal Nexus says, "It has been a long time since I have been this utterly impressed by a new band.  And how often do you see two vocalists unleashing harsh vocals with intense yet melodic riffs?  The young lads with their youthful energy, technical prowess, and blistering speed set the stage on fire."

Uncured released its 4-song instrumental EP Spontaneous Generation in 2016.  Max Portnoy (son of Dream Theater drumming legend Mike Portnoy) played drums on the EP.
