In Confidence
In Confidence is looking to turn some heads. In less than a year of writing and recording, this driven ' alt-rock power trio ' has put together a record that reaches out and grabs you by the ears. With a sound that cuts to the core of everything rock, In Confidence proves that they have the guts to speak their minds and be nothing but uniquely themselves. With their unapologetic, aesthetically jarring artistic image and vision, this band is looking to give the term 'Rock' a facelift on and off the stage.

In Confidence was founded in Nashville Tennessee by Micah Oser and Jake Parker in the summer of 2015. After years of writing songs on their own and playing in a variety of bands, Micah and Jake met by chance and quickly became friends. After playing together only a handful of times, they fused their ideas together and their efforts yielded some very promising material. After failing to find a dedicated drummer for the project, Micah switched from focusing on guitars to playing drums. He then approached friend and guitarist Taylor Perkins with the song ideas, and shortly thereafter, Taylor committed to the project. "We got along so well" says Micah, "and had such a great time putting songs together that we just haven't stopped writing. It's definitely a rare thing to have all these pieces come together so effortlessly. We know we have a great thing going."

Identifying their musical influences is an easy chore, as they combine some classic elements of pop-punk with heavy undertones that allude to their hardcore and metal roots. Imagine throwing the music of 'Brand New' and 'The Wonder Years' in a blender with 'Rise Against', 'Thrice' and 'Rage Against The Machine', then sprinkle the underlying heaviness of 'Balance and Composure' on top of it all. What you end up with is the no-nonsense, honest to goodness rock that is 'In Confidence'.

With an uncompromising work ethic that would rival any band out there, these guys are looking to make waves in the local and national rock scene. With the release of their debut EP 'Of Wolves and Lambs' in October 2016, In Confidence is planning to tour extensively and continues to build a dedicated local fanbase. "We want to build momentum everywhere." Jake says , "We feel like we're in great spot to move quickly. We want to play absolutely as much as possible and hope to attract a label that can help us expand our reach even further."

Taylor put it this way, "We know that our sound brings all kinds of different people together, and when you have a group coming together because they love real honest music and identify with what's being said, it breathes life into those who would otherwise have a hard time connecting with anyone on a real level, and that community, that connection is awesome. We want to get in front of those people, play our music, and tell them 'Yeah! We get you! And you're awesome.' We're all the same if you think about it. People need to hear that they aren't alone."
